Aims & scope

Vita Microbiology aims to become a world-renowned journal covering the full spectrum of microbial science and its diverse applications. We welcome high-quality research that advances fundamental understanding across the entire microbial world—from virology, bacteriology, mycology, and archaeal biology to microbial taxonomy, ecology, and evolution; and from host-microbe interactions, microbiomes, pathogenesis, and immunology to reverse microbial pathogenesis and zoonotic diseases. We also embrace transformative breakthroughs across agricultural, industrial, medical, veterinary, environmental microbiology, as well as contributions in microbial education and science outreach.

As a dynamic, globally oriented platform, the journal connects an international community of authors and readers—from academic researchers in microbiology and its interdisciplinary fields to R&D professionals in biotechnology, biomanufacturing, and related industries. The journal is committed to publishing research of the highest scientific rigor and significance, fostering global knowledge exchange, collaboration, and meaningful scientific advancement.
